Thyroid No Surgery: DR. Guttler’s Blog is the number one place to learn about your options when presented with a thyroid diagnosis your physicians say can only be treated by thyroid surgery.
My blog and website are listed a top site for thyroid information. This is especially true for information on thyroid radiofrequency RFA and ethanol ablation PEI for thyroid cysts, parathyroid cysts, nodules and thyroid micro-cancers. Even if they just want to leave the small cancer in your neck and do lifetime follow up, you may wish to have the small low risk cancer ablated instead of active surveillance.
One visit to see me I can do a candidate evaluation for either RFA or PEI. The fee is $750 including neck ultrasound. Repeat biopsy is extra if needed. he fees for ethanol is $3000, and RFA is 7,180. No insurance is accepted at present.
Both are done in my office while you are awake with just a local Lidocaine injection. The procedures take 30-45 minutes.
My practice is in a small two physician building, and my procedure staff is nurse, sonographer and I. The evaluation staff is just my nurse and I.
Too many see me after the “horse has left the barn” and they had the unneeded surgery.
Be proactive and at least get my opinion about the real need for surgery or could you
be treated with minimally invasive RFA or PEI.
Call my nurse at 310-393-8860 or secure email at thyroid.manager@thyroid.com.
Ask for Alicia for details.
