Thyroid No Surgery For Thyroid, Parathyroid or Neck Cysts: Radiofrequency RFA and Ethanol PEI are Treatments not Surgery.

I went to Dr. Guttler because I was told to have surgery to remove half my thyroid and that there was no other option for my thyroid cyst by different doctors. I was not sure that was true and was worried about surgery but needed to do something since I was having breathing issues.

The cyst was drained by a local doctor but came back quickly and was almost the same size within two months. As soon as the cyst was back the doctors said that I will need to have surgery since it could affect my breathing.

Dr. Guttler does all the work in his office such as the blood tests, ultrasound and biopsy in his office. I was treated by Dr. Guttler using ethanol ablation. I was awake and it was painless and quick. I was able to leave on my own a few minutes later.

I feel better and no longer have to worry about this. I am grateful for Dr. Guttler for saving my thyroid and helping me avoid an unnecessary surgery and the risks involved. If you have any thyroid problem this is the doctor you need to see.

Complex cysts with >50% solid are best treated with RFA.
