After FDA approval of RFA, has treated patients for thyroid nodules, cysts, micro-papillary cancers and parathyroid adenoma.

Trained on 3 different RFA systems since 2014 in my office. Learned RFA on 2 South Korean systems and trained in Italy prior to FDA approval in the United States in 2018.Trained under Dr. Leo Rangel in Brazil doing RFA on his thyroid patients.

Two published papers on the use of in-office setting using local anesthesia. New study will be presented at ATA 2021 in October. Focus of practice is to find alternative methods to prevent unnecessary thyroid surgery.

First was needle biopsies to decrease surgery on benign nodules, then endocrine neck ultrasound, molecular markers and classifiers during FNA needle washout to further decrease surgery on suspicious nodules.

Author on a major papers on the use of molecular markers during needle biopsies.Cross-trained in thyroid nuclear medicine, thyroid cytology, endocrine neck ultrasound, and interventional thyroidology, ethanol ablations for thyroid cancer lymph nodes and complex thyroid cystic nodules, and parathyroid cysts.Trained in radiofrequency ablation for solid nodules prior to FDA approval.
